Creative Director (Product Design)

“Make it as simple as possible, but not simpler.“

This saying sums up my attitude so well, it could be mine. Thank you Albert Einstein. Behind seemingly simple and clear means of communication often lies the most intensive and demanding work.

Example: The interior design for the ZigZag restaurant. Everything is reduced to the recurring element of the angle.

Jan Kötting
Creative Director (Corporate Identity)

„Hello is it me you’re looking for?“

Direct, visual communication remains the basis for cultural exchange and social interaction. I want to create the best media for this.

Example: The internal campaign for RAG(occupational safety in old mines). Here, the ‘miners’ themselves became testimonials. They look you straight in the eye. Unadulterated. Genuine.

Architect, Civil Engineer

“A house is a machine for living in.“”– Le Corbusier

Towards the end of the 20th century, Le Corbusier’s statement seemed banal, but in the 21st century it is relevant again. The construction industry has changed dramatically due to technology. When designing a building, I don’t just think about its appearance, but also about its technical and economic durability.

Example: Villa “Tropic Bird”. The solar power plant determined the shape of the roof for optimum energy yield. The combination of old and new buildings created a complex based on a sustainable business model.

Mark Dyck
Civil Engineer

“Quality is not an issue, it is an obligation.”

Challenging construction projects are my passion, especially when they seem unsolvable at first glance. My work is not only about finding solutions, but also about setting new standards and making the seemingly impossible possible.

Example: Abelshof. A project that reflects this philosophy. A historic building, which was partially dilapidated, was extensively restored and extended with a new residential block.

Andrey Voronov
Architect, Artist

“Crossing the boundaries of the functional.”

Architecture and design have a functional context. If it is not important how functional, economical or comfortable, how beautiful or ugly individual objects are, then we enter the realm of art.

Example: The paper housein which an architectural object has completely lost its inherent architectural function and has instead been given an artistic-reflective task.

Florian Hülsebusch
Web Designer & Developer

„Keep it simple – make it performant…

…that is the basis of web-based communication. But creating that element of surprise, that individual touch, is what motivates me in all disciplines. Because that’s what makes the difference to AI-generated solutions.

Example: The studio boo website you are currently on.
